Taxodium distichum, spontaneous germination

Every year many new Taxodium distichum seedlings are born on the beach, but die because the Lake action is too aggressive.

So we decided to pot about 30 of them, prepared an artificial pond using four trunks, in order to have our own trees if we should replace dead or missing Taxodium from the grove.

In a six years they became trees!
