Doctor check-up

Many trees thrive at Intragnola, but some do not.

Dr. Luciano Riva helps us to identify the problems visiting old trees and new specimen.

Some diseases are wide spread, and there is little we can do: we lost century old Castanea sativa from the chinese wasp Dryocosmus kuriphilus, our Carpinus betulusĀ and Prunus serrulata are suffering from many common pathologies here in Lombardy.

Root diseases like Armillaria are very common in an old garden like ours.
