Visit at Centro di Ricerche per la Selvicoltura, Arezzo

This state forestry research centre operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, and deals with forest genetic resources conservation and improvement of forest biodiversity.

Thanks to the courtesy of Dr. Fulvio Ducci, we could visit, among all, the nursery of Abies nebrodensis, a most beautiful, unfortunately critically endangered Sicilian fir: only 23 specimen are left in native Nebrodi and Madonie mountains.
