Isola Madre: Cupressus cashmeriana back on roots

Here you can see how badly the Cupressus cashmeriana (or better: Cupressus tortulosa) was damaged after the hurricane knock it down.

The giant foliage globe is all broken, but the tree will survive thanks to the efforts of Mr. Giustina, Chief Gardener, and his team.

A constant fog is applied to keep the foliage humid waiting for the roots to recover.

Isola Madre, prato dei gobbi

Compared to this giant Taxodium distichum, our look like dwarfs.
